This policy explains how Renewables Vault collects and uses information when you use this website, including when you register as a developer or investor, submit an asset profile, or contact us.
When you register we collect your name, email address, mobile or WhatsApp number, company or organisation, and the type of asset or investor profile you select. If you are an investor, we also collect your investment preferences and declarations when you request access and, when you express interest in an opportunity, the KYC information you provide (such as nationality, identity document details, company registration details, beneficial owners and source of funds). When you submit an asset profile we collect the information you provide about the asset, its contracts, revenue, legal position and financing needs. When you contact us we collect the details in your message. We also collect basic, anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics.
We use this information to create and operate your account, review the assets you submit, assess their eligibility for financing, contact you about your registration and assets, send you service emails (such as confirmations, status updates and password reset codes), and improve our website. We do not sell your information and do not use it for third-party marketing.
Your account details are stored in your browser on your device and, together with your submissions, in Renewables Vault’s Google Workspace (Google Sheets and Gmail). Your password is never sent to us in readable form; we store only a one-way encrypted fingerprint of it so you can log in from other devices. We use service providers to deliver emails and forms, including Google, Web3Forms and EmailJS. These providers may process data outside Egypt.
If you are a developer and agree when submitting an asset, we share an anonymised summary of that asset (such as asset type, capacity, region and financing need) with investors whose access we have approved. We never show your company name, contact details or exact location in these summaries. If you are an investor, we share your identity with a developer only once you express interest and agree to proceed. Otherwise, we do not share your information with third parties, except with the service providers listed above, our professional advisers under confidentiality, or where required by law.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to assess and administer any transaction, and afterwards only as long as required by law. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing contact@renewablesvault.com. We handle personal data in line with applicable data protection laws, including Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).
